Are you exhausted by it all?

I know I was. I had spent most of my life following the beaten path. I went to college, started a career, moved to the big city…you know the drill. I put my head down and worked hard for my success, but a few years ago, it all started to feel SO meaningless. I was stressed to the Nth degree and couldn’t see why any of it was worth it. I didn’t have the means to quit working, so I had to start figuring out small ways to hop off the hamster wheel and nurture the parts of me that weren’t part of the corporate machine.

I had to learn – or relearn – how to be more human.

I started by setting aside 15 minutes each morning to do something – anything! – that made me feel good. Little by little, I carved out more time for what mattered to me until I had a morning routine that filled me with contentment and helped me face each day peacefully and purposefully. Now, I’m sharing what I’ve learned so that I can help other people un-hamster just a little and enjoy life a lot more.

My careers and interests have evolved over the years, but one thing remains constant: I’m a human, having a unique, weird, wonderful, messed up, crazy, maddening human experience. I’m heading into mid-life, ready to focus on what matters and feel all the feels.
